HISTORY
The Methodist Nursery School began in 1974 as an outreach of the Plymouth United Methodist Church. We have been serving the community for many years and now see former students enrolling their own children in our program. We are housed in the Plymouth United Methodist Church and value the good relationship we have with the church. We maintain an independent program that is governed by our board of Directors.

PURPOSE
Our purpose is to provide a warm, loving, creative and stimulating environment in which Pre-school children can grow, play and learn together. Socially, your child will be encouraged to play and interact with his/her peers. Through this interaction, the importance of accepting others and their views along with the concept of sharing will be practiced.

We believe that it is our job to stimulate the curiosity of your child as he/she begins the journey of being a life-long learner. We strive to open up the doors, letting your child progress without pressure at his/her own pace. We believe each child matures at a different rate and this must be taken into consideration, both in the area of curriculum as well as the presentation of materials. It is our job to prepare your child by giving him/her a sound foundation so that he/she may find his/her introduction into kindergarten a pleasant and rewarding experience.

SESSION SCHEDULE
Monday/Wednesday/Friday
Mornings: 9:00 AM – 11:30 AM
Afternoon: 12:00 PM – 2:30 PM

Tuesday/Thursday
Mornings: 9:00 AM – 11:30 AM
Afternoon: 12:00 PM – 2:30 PM

CLASS SIZE
We are licensed to have up to 24 children in each session.

STAFF
Our Director, Mary Kelly is certified as both a Nursery School Director and Lead Teacher. She has been with us since 1999 and has specialized training in CPR First Aid, Sign Language, and Behavior Management. In addition to our Director we have a Lead Teacher and two other Teachers in each of our sessions.

TRANSPORTATION
Transportation is not provided. Parents, who wish may form their own car pools. A class list is provided by the school.

TUITION
There is a registration fee of $50.00 which is non-refundable.

Tuition for our Monday/Wednesday/Friday programs is $185 per month for nine months.
Tuition for our Tuesday/Thursday programs is $145.00 per month for nine months

PROGRAM
We have a well-rounded program designed to stimulate your child creatively, intellectually, socially, physically, spiritually and emotionally. Children are exposed to a variety of activities to enhance their learning. These include creative art, block play, sand and water play, puppet shows, dramatic play, sensory table, creative movement, music, language arts and science. We also have a wonderful new outdoor playground that is used every day (weather permitting) and open for families of our pre-school children to use during non-school hours.
