New to PUMC

Welcome! We’re glad you’re here.

We want you to know that when you come to our church that you are with friends. Even if have not been to church for a long time, you should know that we are not going to do anything to make you feel out of place. You also won’t be asked to volunteer for anything. We simply want you to know that we are glad you are here and hope that if you are looking for a faith community that you will consider our church.

What you will find at our church:

  • a casual atmosphere
  • people who want to help you find your way around
  • two distinct worship services. Our 9 am service has a very traditional feel while our 10:30 am service has a band that plays today’s music.
  • messages that are all relevant to everyday life
  • children and youth who love being part of our church
  • a time between services and after worship to get a cup of coffee and make new friends
  • that we are really glad you are here
Following are the types of questions we are often asked:

Question: How would you describe your church?
Answer
: We are a growing congregation with both contemporary and traditional worship, passionate Evangelical spirituality, a Christ-centered youth ministry, and an excellent Christian education program for both children and adults.

Question: What is the worship like?
Answer
: Our traditional worship service begins each Sunday at 9 am. It lasts one-hour and includes hymns, responsive readings, and liturgical prayers. The contemporary worship service starts at 10:30 am. Our praise team leads worship with contemporary praise and worship music. The service is informal and includes the use of multi-media.

Question: What is the feel of the church?
Answer
: We are casual and friendly. We have many individuals and families that are new to our ministry. We are always seeking ways to help those who are new to our church feel welcome.

Question: How would you describe Pastor Stan and Pastor Kevin?
Answer
: They are outgoing, energetic, creative, and Biblical in their preaching. Every Sunday they do their best to find ways to connect the Gospel with people's lives.

Question: Do I need part of a denomination to attend?
Answer
: Absolutely not! Our congregation is made up of people from a variety of traditions. Even Pastor Stan and Pastor Kevin are ordained from two different denominations. The reason people attend our church is because they find a loving, Christ-centered church family!
